The Colonial Consultants PSO program was crafted from our core values (Integrity, Competency, Responsibility, Selfless Service & Leadership) over the course of approximately one year; what did we do over that year?

This company was founded primarily as a Risk Management Consulting Firm, our client list is confidential of course but it includes repeat services to: aerospace defense companies, tech companies, security companies, consulting firms, financial institutions & so forth. What do all these have in common? All are experts in attention to detail and mistakes are categorically globally catastrophic yet they all turned to us to scrutinize their processes, personnel, facilities, or other critical components. We have evaluated countless guard programs, individual officers, and any other aspect of a security program you can imagine; we took every issue we had ever discovered, every recommendation we made to fix those problems, combined it with our core values, and formed the basis for our PSO service.

What sets our program above others:

• Support Infrastructure: Our support infrastructure consists of a team of highly skilled individuals including Armed & licensed officers who have had extensive specialized training in tactics, firearms, de-escalation, active shooter response, and more; Licensed Private Investigators, who will take charge of investigations of any incidents or issues that occur on property, at the client’s request; they are also charged with investigating any and all accusations of misconduct against our personnel and quality checks of the PSO force utilizing their investigative skills.

• Engaged Leadership: Our agency is run by LEADERS, not managers; Our PSOs & clients have regular contact with all supervisors & senior staff, from the founder/owner down in the field. They have the training, skills & experience to not only supervise all posts and ensure that the PSOs are fit for duty and that they are executing their assigned duties professionally and correctly according to the client standards but also can (and do) perform PSO functions when needed; whether it be standing a post in order for our PSO to take a break or responding to an emergency we lead from the front.

• Use of Qualifiers: Colonial Consultants is an SBA & Florida OMB OSD certified Service-Connected Disabled Veteran & Minority Owned/Managed Small Business; if our client is competing for a contract bid or other situation in which those certifications are beneficial we simply need to provide services of some kind related the client’s work on desired project as a subcontractor, the primary contractor receives recognition of our identifiers (example – general contractor uses us for security or investigative surveillance of a construction site to prevent loss).

• Emergency Surge Capacity: the need to increase your facility’s security posture arises (i.e. additional PSOs &/or 24-hour staffing during the aftermath of a hurricane) we have a network of private contractors who have agreed to deploy as reinforcements upon request.

All PSOs have successfully completed two MBI single scope equivalent background checks, one conducted by the state of Florida for an armed security license and we conduct an independent check; experience/qualifications are also vetted via a network of veteran security providers.
